SACO (AP) – A body recovered from the Saco River has been identified as that of a 41-year-old Biddeford man missing for nearly a month.

Saco police say the state Medical Examiner’s Office plans an autopsy on the body of Keith O’Brien, who was last seen on a railroad bridge over the river on the evening of April 16. O’Brien’s disappearance prompted an air-ground search by the Maine Warden Service that continued for several days.

Construction workers Monday spotted the body caught on the Spring Island Dam. Police said Saco fire officials managed to remove it and officials positively identified it as O’Brien.
