AUBURN – Great Falls Outlaws rallied for five runs in the bottom of the ninth inning Sunday to escape Pettingill Park with an 8-7 win over Goody’s Guys of Newport.

The Outlaws benefited from four free passes and two errors in the decisive ninth. Scott Berube ripped a ground ball that was mishandled at second base to push across the final two runs. Catcher Jeremy Paradis scored the game-winning run after reaching base for the third time on the day.

Greg Massey earned the win in relief of starter Craig Farrington. Massey hurled four hitless innings, striking out seven in his season debut. Coby Asselin collected two of the Outlaws’ six hits on the day. Massey and Chris Reed added RBI singles to the modest offensive attack, and Berube doubled.Levesque led the Goody’s attack with two hits. Goody’s first four hitters scored as they jumped to a quick lead in the top of the first. McKenney pitched four solid innings for Goody’s and left the game with a 4-2 edge.
