LIVERMORE FALLS – The Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens met at Murray Hall on May 12 with 33 members present.

Chairwoman Shirley Couture opened the meeting with a prayer, salute to the flag and a moment of silence for departed members and for the men and women in the armed forces.

Reported on the sick list were Shirley Toncer, Dora Slovak and Lucille Frechette.

Members voted to donate $25 to Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice. Members of the Lewiston SeniorsPlus were at the meeting taking names of those who wanted to register for the June 2 meeting at the Livermore Falls town hall.

Alice Demoras made a quilt, which will be raffled to benefit Norlands Living History Center. Tickets will be sold at the Otis Credit Union on Thursday, May 22, and several other places within the next few weeks.

Members were asked to bring small gifts to be donated to Friends Together for their beano this summer. The 50-50 was won by Demoras.

The last meeting before the summer break wil be held Monday, May 19. Lunch consisting of finger rolls, salads and cake will be served at noon. Volunteering to bring salads were Jeannine Williams, Doris Demillo, Jean Luciano, Shirley Couture, Pat Couture, Cindy Hebert, Gerry Richard, Maggie Dufour, Carmen Moreau and Edith Leblanc.

Following the meeting a Chinese auction was held, which netted $40. The meeting was adjourned and cards and games were played.
