LOVELL – Two teens were injured Thursday and one was ejected from his vehicle after an afternoon crash.
Deputy William Nelson of the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office said 19-year-old David Bragg of Lovell was driving too fast through a corner on West Lovell Road when he struck a berm. Nelson said Bragg’s 1989 Volkswagen GTI went “end over end” and hit a stone wall.
Bragg, who wasn’t wearing a seat belt, was ejected through his vehicle’s moon roof in the accident. Nelson said Bragg suffered facial and head injuries and may have broken bones. He was taken to the Bridgton Hospital, where he was not a patient on Monday.
Bragg’s passenger, 18-year-old Joseph Stefanl, was also unbelted and partially ejected from the car. Nelson said Stefanl suffered from facial abrasions but declined treatment.
The Oxford County Sheriff’s Office and Lovell Fire Department responded to the scene. Nelson said speed was a factor in the crash although the matter remains under investigation.
