BOSTON (AP) – Police are investigating the death of a 5-year-old boy who was struck by a commuter train in Revere and the fatal stabbing of a 61-year-old man inside his home.

Jake Wark, spokesman for the Suffolk County District Attorney, says the boy was hit Sunday afternoon on Oak Island Street and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Evidence strongly suggests an accident, but investigators will review circumstances leading to the death.

Early Saturday, Revere police responded to a Bryant Street home and found 61-year-old Storm Mandeville dead in his first floor home.

State police were called to lead the investigation into the apparent homicide.
