SOUTH PORTLAND – The Maine Real Estate and Development Association will host a breakfast seminar, “Using Interest Rate Swaps to Hedge Rate Risk” on June 12 from 7:30-9 a.m. at the Wyndham Portland Airport Hotel, 363 Maine Mall Road. The seminar is sponsored by Norway Savings Bank.

The presentation will include an introduction on how an interest rate swap converts floating rate obligations to a fixed rate, and the benefits and risks associated with using interest rate swaps.
