LEWISTON – To commemorate the 400th anniversary of Champlain’s founding of the city of Quebec, Casco Bay High School students are preparing a documentary exhibit titled “Le Maine Francophone: Hier et Anjourd’hui,” telling the story of Franco-Americans in Maine.

The exhibit will be at the Franco-American Heritage Center at 12:30 p.m. Friday, June 6.

Since January, students have attended “La Recontre,” a monthly lunch at the center, where they have spoken with Franco-Americans from the Lewiston area. Those interviewed will be the subjects of the documentary exhibit. Casco Bay High School students conducted their interviews in French.
