AUBURN – Emily Bolduc and Emily Shano each clubbed three hits to lead Pepsi past Crystal Springs, 17-11, in Auburn Suburban Little League softball action.
Kelsey Butcher and Bolduc did the pitching for Pepsi. Calli Murray and Danielle Rock each added two hits apiece.
Amanda Williams pitched for Crystal and helped her own cause by reaching base four times. Hannah Delong added two hits and a pair of walks, while Kaylee Caron pitched in with a base hit.
Gee & Bee 18, Aubuchon 3 – Kory Norcross continued her stellar pitching this season, striking out 13 to lead Gee & Bee past Rotary, 18-3. Norcross also led Gee & Bee at the dish with a triple, two doubles and a single. Ashlee Arnold ripped a double and two singles. Katherine Peterson and Miranda Johnson joined the hit parade with three singles each.
Margaret Fogarty, Chantel Belanger and Kennedy Hubbard all hit singles for Rotary.
ASLL Minor baseball
AUBURN – Dillingham and Sons improved its record to 8-1 with a hard-fought, 8-5 victory over American Concrete in Auburn Suburban Minor Baseball competition. Both teams performed well at the plate and in the field in a rain-shortened, five-inning game.
Elliot Ave. Major baseball
LEWISTON – Rowe picked a pair of hotly contested victories in Elliot Ave. majors, downing Aubuchon, 11-10, and edging Melanson, 9-7.
Brady Cusson and Coleman Morency combined for 14 strikeouts to lead Rowe past Aubuchon in the eight-inning contest. Morency smashed a home run. Ethan Melvin and Evan Bourassa each belted two hits, while Zach McBride delivered a double.
Nick Perreault boosted Aubuchon with three hits.
Another 14-strikeout performance, this one from Bourassa and Melvin, powered Rowe against Melanson. Bourassa, Melvin, Morency, McBride and Owen McCarthy were the heavy hitters.
Austin Wing and Nick Belanger provided the sticks for Melanson. Colton Bernier added a double.
Healy 10, Melanson 9 – Healy held on for a 10-9 victory over Melanson in another Major showdown. Healy won its third straight game behind the pitching of Matt Poulin, who allowed only one earned run in five innings.
Wing kept Melanson competitive with his work on the mound. Melanson scored eight runs in the bottom of the sixth to nearly pull off the stunning comeback.
Dube sweeps – Dube Flower blanked Melanson, 1-0, and doubled up Aubuchon, 12-6, in a productive week.
Brian Wigant was in command with 16 strikeouts in the shutout. He also scored Dube’s lone run. Belanger banged out a pair of singles for Melanson.
Wigant scored three runs to go with a double and a single in the victory over Aubuchon.
Ryan Delcourt contributed a single and a double, while Drew Fenderson supplemented his two-bagger with a pair of singles. Kenan Lynch and Chase Manor also singled for Dube to support winning pitcher Evan Gosselin, who racked up five strikeouts.
Jacob Charest singled twice for Aubuchon.
