BRIDGTON – Bridgton Hospital Guild President Sandy Weygandt was searching for a new fundraiser for the volunteer group during the summer.

The board decided on a raffle. The guild is selling $10 “Winner’s Choice” tickets.

Limited to 1,200 tickets, they are available for purchase at the Guild Thrift Shop on Main Street and the Guild Coffee Shop in the former hospital building.

They will also be sold at the 4 on the 4th Road Race on Friday, July 4, and they are available in the administration office at Bridgton Hospital or by calling 647-6212.

The drawings will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, at Bridgton Hospital.

There will be four prizes to choose from: a weekend ski package at the Shawnee Peak East Slope Condominiums, valued at $1,500; a $1,000 U.S. savings bond; 200 gallons of fuel oil (within their delivery area), valued at $1,000; or $600 cash.

The first winning ticket holder drawn selects the prize they want; then the others choose prizes as selected.

The nonprofit guild supports Bridgton Hospital by running a thrift shop and coffee shop and through various fundraisers.

Funds raised are donated to the hospital each October at the guild annual meeting to purchase medical equipment.
