WEST PARIS – On a beautiful summer morning Saturday, residents and guests turned out for the annual Old Home Days Grand Parade and visit with family and friends.

The parade each year is a major event in the three-day community celebration that runs from Friday evening through Sunday afternoon and includes activities, musical programs, contests, suppers and lunches.

Saturday’s parade included a long line of people representing community organizations, scouts and groups of young people on bikes, four-wheelers and motorcycles. Also, an adult motorcycle group, the Kora Shrine Temple go-kart riders, the Lewiston Funsters, the Bobcat and South Paris Twirlers and Cub Scout Pack 133; also, the West Paris Library Trustee, the West Paris Downhill Derby Riders, the Jazzette Dance Team and a line of antique cars and trucks.

Leading the parade were firetrucks from West Paris, Woodstock, Norway, Paris and Buckfield, and units from the Pace and Tri-Town ambulance services.
