SEBAGO – Musicians of the Sebago-Long Lake Music Festival will give three performances of Beethoven’s “Ghost” as part of its annual Music for Kids concerts.

The first will take place at 10 a.m. and at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, at Deertrees Theater in Harrison. The third performance is at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School in Paris.

The concerts are designed as a fun introduction to classical music for families and children ages 5 to 12.

The program will follow Ludwig Van Beethoven’s life, from his struggle to be recognized, to his rise to fame, to his final years of composing while deaf.

Musicians of the Sebago-Long Lake Festival are all professional artists who travel from around the country to participate in the five-week series of chamber music concerts at Deertrees Theatre.

Tickets, purchased at the door, are $2/$4 at the high school and $4/$5 at Deertrees Theatre. Participants of the LOOK program and their families will be admitted free to the high school concert.
