TURNER – Maurice (Moe) and Doris Leclerc celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary July 6 at their home and camp complex at Bear Pond in North Turner.

A 50th anniversary gold banner was featured, along with flowers on every table, consisting of carnations, oriental lilies and impatiens.

Party hosts were their children, Jeffrey and wife, Karla Leclerc, Elaine LaRue and Anna Parker. Jeffrey Leclerc served as toastmaster, and a musical DVD show was produced and presented by Elaine LaRue.

Mr. Leclerc and the former Doris Levesque were married April 19, 1958, at St. John the Baptist Church in Brunswick.

In addition to their three children, their grandchildren are Sarah LaRue, Michael LaRue, Shawn Leclerc, Trisha Simmons and Cole and Sophie Leclerc. They also have a great-grandson, Jason Leclerc.

The Leclerc family made their home in South Portland, Waterville, Winslow and Portland from 1958 through 1967 and in Lewiston from 1967 through 1995. The couple retired at the end of 1995 and built their retirement home close to their summer camp at Bear Pond.

Mrs. Leclerc is retired from the Operating Room Department at CMMC and Mr. Leclerc is retired from Chrysler Financial, after 39 years in the auto-finance business.

Original wedding attendants present were Jackie Roberts and Lucille Fournier.

Guests attended from Arizona, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Milo, Brunswick, Topsham, Westbrook, Gray, Cape Elizabeth, Sabattus, Auburn and Lewiston.
