LEWISTON – Oxford Networks, 491 Lisbon St., recently hired three computer specialists. Randall Prince was appointed to the position of MapCom operator; Todd “Red” Labonte was named a computer system administrator; and Rene Braun was hired as a systems analyst.

As a MapCom operator, Prince’s primary responsibility is entering existing outside plant and central office equipment data into the company’s new MapCom mapping software. Prince comes to Oxford Networks with 24 years’ experience at Community Service Telephone Company in Winthrop as a lineman, installation/repair technician, and central office technician. He graduated from Monmouth Academy in 1970 and currently lives in Monmouth with his wife.

Labonte’s responsibilities as a computer systems administrator include designing, implementing and maintaining all Oxford Networks IT systems. He ensures that security is maintained for all systems and that they operate at peak performance. Labonte comes to Oxford Network with experience as a computer systems administrator at Computer Sciences Corporation at Bath Iron Works. He also previously served as a reserve police officer for the city of Biddeford. He holds a bachelor of science degree in business with a focus in information technology from Southern New Hampshire University. He also holds an A.A.S in law enforcement and computer technology from Southern Maine Technical College. Labonte lives in North Yarmouth with his family.

As a system analyst, Braun writes computer programs that integrate communication between various computer systems at Oxford Networks. He is a former senior database administrator and a senior network administrator. He is also a Microsoft certified trainer and holds a computer science degree from the University of Southern Maine. He lives in Windham with his family, where he is also president of the Southern Middle School Hockey League.
