TOPSHAM – The Oratorio Chorale invites singers to audition for its 2008-2009 season from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, at Mid-Coast Presbyterian Church.

The chorale, under the direction of Peter Frewen, is an auditioned chorus of about 60 singers from 20 communities. It performs three concerts a year at venues in Bath, Freeport, Topsham and Yarmouth.

Choral masterpieces by Handel, Haydn and Mendelssohn are among the works that will be featured. Mid-Coast Presbyterian Church is at 84 Maine St.
