ALBION (AP) – Authorities say a Maine State Police trooper fatally shot a man who was armed with a shotgun during a domestic dispute in Albion.

Maine Public Safety Department spokesman Steve McCausland says troopers responding to a domestic disturbance Monday night found John Sullivan with a shotgun.

After a confrontation, Sullivan was shot by a trooper.

The attorney general’s office is investigating as it does in all cases in which a law enforcement officer uses deadly force.
