LIVERMORE FALLS – Kim LaRoche of Jay will offer an origami workshop from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, at the Maine Paper and Heritage Museum, 22 Church St.

The session will introduce the art of Japanese paper-folding. Origami uses thin square paper to create 3-D objects varying from simple animals to complex multiple-piece models. Samples will be on display.

Beginners as well as expert paper folders are welcome to the free workshop. Donations are welcome.

LaRoche has taught workshops at the Auburn Public Library, East Auburn Baptist Church and for private functions.
