HAVERHILL, Mass. (AP) – A Haverhill woman and her boyfriend have been arrested for allegedly selling cocaine from the cosmetics counter at a pharmacy in the city where the woman worked.

Police say customers would call 26-year-old Luis Ledesma on a cell phone and he would send them to the cosmetics department at a local Walgreens where they would meet his girlfriend, 27-year-old Enery Fernandez.

Detective Sgt. John Arahovites says Fernandez would then take customers to a private area in the store where a drug transaction would take place.

Both suspects were arrested Monday, Fernandez while at work. They face various drug charges at their arraignment Tuesday.

Police say they have been investigating for three months.

The manager of the Walgreens store refused comment.
