BROOKSVILLE (AP) – A 19-month-old boy is sore but doing fine after falling an estimated 25 to 30 feet from a window at his Brooksville home.

Aidan DeBeck, the son of Sara and Christopher DeBeck, climbed out of his playpen in a third-story playroom Monday afternoon and fell through a screen and out an open window, landing on a grassy patch in the yard below.

Sara DeBeck heard a thump on her baby monitor, then looked out the window and saw Aidan outside crying. She says he miraculously got up and started walking around.

Aidan was taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, where he stayed overnight for observation.

The boy was back at home Tuesday, none the worse except for a little soreness.
