Lewiston Adult Education sewing students learn a new creative skill just in time for the holidays.

LEWISTON – Lewiston Adult Education has planned numerous classes designed to help tap into the creative side of the L-A community. Courses in art, music, theater, dance, traditional hand crafts and even graphic design will soon be available to residents of the L-A area.
Classes designed to inspire creative pursuits in the visual arts will include “Beginning Pottery,” “One Stroke Painting with Juston,” “Paint in Oil or Pastel” and “Painting with Acrylics.”
In traditional hand craft classes, participants will finish the course having created their own unique piece. Such courses beginning in September will include “Intro to Silk Painting: Serti Technique,” “Knitting: Intermediate/Advanced,” “Rug Braiding I and II” and “True Beginner Sewing.”
Area residents can also gain graphic design experience using Adobe Creative Suite programs in classes such as “Adobe Photoshop Basics” and “Adobe Illustrator.”
September will also bring a fresh set of music, dance and theater classes at Lewiston Adult Education. Such fine arts classes will include “Beginner Guitar,” “Next Step Guitar,” “Greek Dancing for Families,” “Just Jazz Dance for Beginners,” “Latin Dance” and “Theatre Workshop.”
