LEWISTON – The Edward Little High School Class of’ 1938 held its 70-year reunion on Aug. 17 at the Chick-A-Dee.
In attendance were 25 classmates, and 12 guests. Welcoming the attendees were Co-Chairmen Dr. John James and Glenna Davis.
A short social period preceded lunch, after which James recounted a pleasant experience from “way back when.” Davis provided information about classmates who responded to the invitation, but could not attend.
Davis invited classmates to a luncheon gathering at her home on Aug. 20 to provide another opportunity to socialize with those from away: June Haskell Wallace of California, Hazel Meade Rathbun of New Jersey and Lorrine Houghton Wakefield of New Hampshire.
Several classmates now residing in Auburn celebrated landmark wedding anniversaries this year: Barbara and Carlie Snowe, 69 years; Helen and Russell Hammond, 66 years; Janette and Harry Woodard, 66 years; Eileen and Roy Young, 65 years; Allen and Rose Thurston, 62 years; and Gertrude and Roy Snow, 61 years.
An extended social period followed.
