NORTH CHATHAM, N.H. (AP) – A 79-year-old Cambridge, Mass., woman is safe after being found in Maine’s woods – about a mile from the New Hampshire campground where she had been staying.

Fish and Game Sgt. Jim Juneau said Susan Wexler was found just after midnight Monday on a trail in Stow, Maine. She got lost after leaving Sunday for a short walk.

Juneau said Wexler required no medical attention. He said when she realized she was lost, she stayed in one location and exercised to keep warm.

Stow is in Oxford County, north of Fryeburg.
