Cribbage play

DIXFIELD – The American Legion Swasey-Torrey Post 100 will hold a special cribbage on Sunday, Sept. 14. Partners will play for $8 a person. Prizes will be paid out by the number of tables and a 50/50 will be sold. Pot roast dinner will be served at 11 a.m. for $5. All are welcome.

Star Club supper

RUMFORD – Mt. Zircon Chapter 142 Star Club will hold a public supper and Gift-A-Rama at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, at Blazing Star Lodge on Route 232.

A supper of smothered beef and mashed potatoes, vegetable, roll, cake and ice cream will be served. Tickets are $6 a person; children under 5, $3. The Gift-A-Rama will follow, and tickets are $1 for one; $5 for six.

Storytime open

DIXFIELD – Pre-school storytime is resuming at Ludden Library. It will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. every Monday. If school is canceled, so is storytime.
