Ever heard of a drunken sailor with a three-day pass?

I was a sailor, and had many a tipsy three-day pass. I was at sea for three months at a time, and when I got to Asian shores, I spent my pay on the stupidest things anyone couldn’t possibly imagine.

If I were now the president of the United States, and a little bit tipsy, I wouldn’t hesitate one second to spend $1 billion of the nation’s tax money to rebuild the country of Georgia. I would do it to upset the Russian government.

I wonder if President Bush is spending taxpayers’ money like a drunken sailor.

People have gotten complacent knowing he would be out of office soon, and Congress did not choose to impeach him for total incompetence, lack of judgment, lying to his constituents about Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction, unjustified acts of war, squandering federal funds, infringing on rights to privacy provided by the Constitution, or for 4,130 of the best Americans now deceased. And that’s just for starters.

America is so bankrupt, how could we let that drunken sailor give away another $1 billion of our money?
