RUMFORD – Unless otherwise noted, the following are to be arraigned on Dec. 2 in Rumford District Court:
• Erik M. Bernard, 22, Rumford, warrants charging failure to appear on a charge of burglary and two counts of theft, 1:05 p.m. Sept. 5 on Waldo Street. He was released on $500 cash bail. No court date set.
• Judy J. Taylor, 37, Mexico, operating after suspension, 2 p.m. Sept. 4 on Congress Street. She was released on $200 unsecured bail.
• Jason D. Buotte, 25, Rumford, operating after suspension, 4 p.m. Sept. 1 on Lincoln Avenue. He was released on $200 unsecured bail.
• Scot J. New, 37, Rumford, domestic violence assault, 10:45 p.m. Aug. 30 on Porter Avenue. He was also summoned for obstructing the report of a crime. He was released on $500 unsecured bail and will be arraigned on Oct. 7 in Rumford District Court.
Accidents
Sept. 5, 9:09 a.m. – James Gelinsky Jr., 81, suffered a facial cut when he drove his 2003 Subaru Legacy off Spruce Street, into and out of a ditch and into a Dumpster. Med-Care Ambulance took Gelinsky to Rumford Hospital where he was treated and released. The Subaru was totaled.
Incidents
Sept. 3, 3 p.m. – A Rumford resident reported that he was the victim of identify theft, in that he received an e-mail from someone claiming to be from the Internal Revenue Service, asking for his personal information regarding the stimulus check. The IRS was contacted and advised police that the e-mail was a scam.
