AUBURN – The second-annual Bob Boucher Memorial 5K Run/Walk will be held Sunday, Sept. 21 starting at St Dominic Regional High School in Auburn, continuing to Central Maine Community College and returning to the high school. Funds raised from this event will benefit the athletic programs at St. Dom’s that were such an integral part of Boucher’s life and career.

Pre-registration deadline is Friday, Sept. 12 at $20 (includes a long sleeve shirt and a $5 pancake breakfast ticket). Also, you may pre-register for $15 (includes shirt only). Race day registration is $15 with no shirt and no breakfast. Entry forms may be obtained at the Colisee during Maineiacs games or at local fitness centers, as well as by calling St. Dom’s at 782-6911.

Table tennis starts Monday

LEWISTON – The Maine Table Tennis League will begin its 2008-09 season at 5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 15 at Lewiston Armory. Players of all ability levels are welcome.

National field hockey festival tryouts

WATERVILLE – The Maine Majestix field hockey club will conduct tryouts for the U19 National Festival and U14 and U19 Disney Showcase teams on Sept. 28 from 8 to 11 a.m. on the Bill Alfond turf field at Colby College.
