Seniors to meet

AUBURN – The First Auburn Seniors will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, at the Hasty Community Center with President Pat Records presiding.

Following the meeting, members will have a chicken luncheon. They should bring cups and utensils. Bingo will be played following lunch.

Prize winners at the last meeting were Buzz Edwards, Andre Giasson, Dick Brushwein, Felix Yurkston and Frances Robitaille. Jeanne David was welcomed as a new member.

Because of extenuating circumstances, it was voted to omit the annual fall fair and flea market this year.

Bridge play

LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Duplicate Bridge Club met on Sept. 9 at the Multi-Purpose Center. Flight A winners were: first, David Lock and Patricia Garcia; second, Linda Leotsakos and Janet Arey; third, Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe; fourth, Richard Balian and Woody Mercier; fifth, Claire Lyons and Gail Burke; tied at sixth, Martine Begert and Rosemarie Goodwin with Lucille Bilodeau and Alberta Turner.

Flight B winners were: first, Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe; second, Claire Lyons and Gail Burke; third, Lucille Bilodeau and Alberta Turner.

Flight C winners were: first, Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe; second, Claire Lyons and Gail Burke. Another game will be played at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, at the center.

The club also met on Sept. 10 at Schooner Estates in Auburn. Flight A winners were: first, Luke Merry and Paul Barber; second, Jeanine Kivus and Rosemarie Goodwin; third, Leslie Buzzell and John Hackett; fourth, Phil and Marilyn Bird; fifth, Mike and Pat Quinn.

Flight B winners were: first, Alberta Turner and Lucille Bilodeau; second, Ron and Connie Reynolds. Another game will be played at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, at Schooner Estates. For more information and/or a partner, call Lucille Theriault at 783-0431.
