AUBURN – Auburn-Lewiston YMCA is pleased to announce that registration for its new Homeschool Sports program is underway.

Homeschool Sports is a great way for homeschooled children to fulfill their physical education requirement while getting exercise, meeting new friends and learning how to play different sports. The program runs for 13 weeks, every Monday afternoon starting Sept. 22, from 1 to 2 p.m. Every child that participates in the program will receive a T-shirt.

The program is a structured gym class where children will play gym games, learn a new skill, and then get an introduction to a team sport. The final week of the program will end with a pool party.

Cost for the program is $45 for members (plus a $50 youth membership if not already a member), or $55 for a non-member, with a $10 discount per additional child. Register at the ‘Y’ Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. or Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information, please call the ‘Y’ at 795-4095 or e-mail Josh LaPrell, Youth Sports Director at [email protected].
