Dear Sun Spots: The Public Theatre will hold an open house at the theatre at Lisbon and Maple streets for people interested in volunteering. As a professional theatre and not-for-profit organization, The Public Theatre employs an artistic and administrative staff that depends on the support of a core of volunteers. Mingle with our current volunteers 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, and discover a job that’s right for you.

The Public Theatre is looking for volunteers to poster routes in Auburn, Falmouth, Yarmouth, Farmington, Jay, Wilton and Bath. Each poster person will receive one or two free tickets (depending on number of posters) to each production they poster. Posters must be hung by a requested date. Posters are hung in early October, January, late February and April.

The Public Theatre is also looking for volunteers to join the “friends of the theatre.” These people help with special events at the theatre such as the silent auction, selling subscriptions in the lobby, keeping the gardens, and helping with cast parties. This group also acts as ambassadors for the theatre and performs tasks that help actors from out of town feel at home. Other volunteer opportunities include ushering, bulk mailing and committee work.

If you are interested in volunteering or attending the open house, call us ASAP at 782-2211 or e-mail us at info@thepublictheatre.org. – Janet Mitchko, associate artistic director, The Public Theatre.

Dear Sun Spots: I am writing regarding my previous request to receive help regarding a Dome Climber I ordered on May 16. As previously mentioned the $199 was deducted on May 19. In your past column you mentioned you spoke to Rodney and he was willing to return my money. I have tried contacting him via phone and e-mail and have had no response. I still do not have my money back. His e-mail was rodneywa@yahoo.com or via phone at 505-269-4319. I do not know how you were able to communicate with him but I have no luck. At this point (as I told him) I just want my money back. What is my next recourse. Thank you – Pam, Poland.

Answer: When Sun Spots contacted Dome Climber, they were quick with their response. We noticed that you have a different e-mail address than the one we used. We suggest e-mailing Rodney Ward at rod@domeclimber. You should receive a response with 48 hours.

Dear Sun Spots: On Saturday, Sept. 6, a woman wrote to you. She had 4- or 5-inch dolls to sell, porcelain, cloth bodies. Have her call me, telephone number 784-2536. – No Name, No Town.

Dear Sun Spots: I would like to know if anyone could give me Rev. Ralph DiOrio’s address. I purchased four of his video tapes several years ago and I have lost two of them. I would like to replace them. I would also like to have a list of all his videotapes that are for sale. Thanks. – AMB, Rumford.

Answer: In addition to responses from readers, contact the ministry for more information at (508) 791-0233, or write to Apostolate of Divine Mercy & Healing, PO Box 668, Worcester, MA 01613-0668. Sun Spots left a message on the answering machine and also attempted to contact the ministry through e-mail to no avail. They do note on their Web site that they are very busy with requests.

Dear Sun Spots: My daughter and I take piano lessons from the Jay Elementary School music teacher. We have been practicing on a keyboard, now we’d like to upgrade to a console or spinet piano. Does anyone have a spinet or console piano for sale in the Jay/Livermore Falls area? Call 645-4944. Thank you. – Judy, Jay.
