LISBON – Brooke Lawrence netted a pair of goals to lead Lisbon to a 4-0 rout over Monmouth in MVC girls’ soccer action Tuesday.

Stevanie Roy and Sierra Guay also tallied for the Greyhounds (4-0) to complete the scoring. Tara Metzger, Katherine Lemieux and Kerstin Kenney all contributed with assists.

Sam Purcell needed only one save to record the shutout.

Waterville 5, Mt. Blue 0

WATERVILLE – Jordan Pellerin registered a hat trick Tuesday as Waterville rolled to a 5-0 victory over Mt. Blue in a KVAC matchup.

Stephanie Whitten and Paige Gardiner also tallied for the unbeaten Panthers (4-0), who have already scored 30 goals in this young season. Taylor Hart made two saves to notch the shutout, while Em Deane turned aside 15 shots for the Cougars (2-2).

Rockland 5, Oak Hill 3

ROCKLAND – Bailie Boggs scored two goals and an assist to lead Rockland to a 5-3 victory over Oak Hill in KVAC girls’ soccer action Tuesday.

The Raiders (2-1-1) led 3-2 at the break, but was held scoreless in the second half. Sophomore midfielder Maggie Sabine contributed one Oak Hill goal and provided defensive support as a part-time goalie, making five saves.

Sam Rossignol and Marissa Caskin also scored for the Raiders.

Natalie Russell earned the win in net for Rockland, making 16 saves.

Winthrop 1, Hall-Dale 0

FARMINGDALE – Erika Rice converted a pass from Caitlin Raph with six minutes left in the first half to lift Winthrop to a 1-0 victory over Hall-Dale.

The Bulldogs (2-2) outshot the Ramblers (3-0-1) 14-7 but lacked the accuracy needed to pull off a win.

Anna Smithgall made 10 saves for Winthrop to record the shutout, while Shandelle Sioch turned aside five shots for Hall-Dale.

Cony 0, Lewiston 0

AUGUSTA – The Cony and Lewiston girls’ soccer squads fought up and down the field Tuesday in a defensive battle that produced a 0-0 tie.

Katie Cobb worked the net for Lewiston (1-2-1), making 12 saves. Amy Jones handled netkeeping duties for the Rams (2-1-1), turning aside 10 shots fired in her direction.

Jay-LF 3, Dirigo 1

JAY – Freshman forward Lexi Deering scored the eventual game-winning goal midway through the first half as Jay-Livermore Falls took a 3-1 victory over Dirigo.

Emily Chase scored the lone goal for the Cougars (1-3).

Jeanette Bryant made 12 saves for Dirigo, while sophomore Katie Beaulieu repelled 11 shots for the Wildcats (1-2-1).

Field hockey

Gardiner 4, EL 0

AUBURN – Kashley Weymouth scored a pair of goals and keeper Kaitlyn Morissette frustrated Edward Little’s offense to lead Gardiner to a 4-0 field hockey victory Tuesday.

Weymouth scored the game’s first two goals to put the Tigers (4-0) in command. Marissa Lawrence and Hailey Chadbourne also scored for Gardiner.

Morissette stopped all 10 shots she faced for the shutout. Kayla Cummings recorded 20 saves for EL (1-2-2).

Brewer 3, Lewiston 1

LEWISTON – Morgan Haradon scored the eventual game-winning goal in the second half as Brewer claimed a 3-1 victory over Lewiston in KVAC field hockey.

Senior forward Erin Glann scored the lone Blue Devils’ goal in the first half.

Emily Craig and Samantha Thibault combined for 21 saves for Lewiston, while Angela Patterson earned the win in net for Brewer with eight saves.

Oxford Hills 1, Mt. Ararat 1

TOPSHAM – After two double overtimes, Oxford Hills and Mt. Ararat still couldn’t settle their differences, so the teams played to a 1-1 tie.

The Vikings (0-0-2) scored first, with Alex Gamache punching in the goal on a Kristy Jurczak assist. The Eagles (3-0-1) came right back when Hayley Lapointe tied the game on her unassisted goal.
