People should cut Sarah Palin a little slack. She’s a nice lady. She is friendly and sociable and good looking.

She made a good speech at the convention. Yes, we’ve heard it and heard it, over and over. The phrases ring in our ears – “I stood up to the good old boys,” and “Thanks, but no thanks” for the “bridge to nowhere.” Of course, she supported that bridge before she opposed it, and then she kept the federal money for the state of Alaska anyway.

And, of course, we also heard over and over, the difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull is lipstick.

How cute.

Although a nice person with some local, in-state political experience, she has practically no experience in national, international and foreign affairs. In her only interview with the media, she spoke of possibly having to go to war with Russia. How nave, how uninformed, how ill-prepared.

Sen. McCain is my age and, although I am healthy, I cannot imagine being able to keep up with the rigors, pressures, stress, travel schedules, etc., of the presidency.

This inadequate, untrained and inexperienced woman could become president.
