Livesey, who grew up on the edge of the Scottish Highlands, has written a collection of stories and six novels, and has been writer-in-residence at Bowdoin since 2005.

“The House on Fortune Street,” published in March by Harper Collins, tells the contemporary story of a London therapist, her family, her friendships and the ups and downs of romantic love.
