DIXFIELD – Senior midfielder Alex Crossman scored a hat trick to lead Mt. Abram to a 5-1 triumph over Dirigo in MVC boys’ soccer action Thursday.
Crossman put the Roadrunners (5-1-1) on the board first by converting a cross from the corner into the far post. He duplicated the same sequence of maneuvers for the third goal that put Mt. Abram up 3-0 at the half.
Sophomore Dylan Castonguay collected the lone Cougar (2-4) goal in the second half to spoil the shutout.
Georges Valley 3, Livermore Falls 0
THOMASTON – Seth Wovino led a trio of players to register goals as Georges Valley rolled to a 3-0 victory over Livermore Falls in MVC boys’ soccer action Thursday.
Ketch Cowan and Chris Wilgus also tallied for the Buccaneers (4-2-1) to complete the scoring. Alec Young made five saves to preserve the shutout, while Willie Brown turned aside eight shots in net for the Andies (4-2-1).
Lisbon 2, Wiscasset 1
WISCASSET – Marcus Bubar scored two goals in the first half as Lisbon held on for a 2-1 victory over Wiscasset in another MVC tilt Thursday.
George Clement contributed with an assist for the Greyhounds (6-1), while Derek Lycette made two saves to notch the win.
Tyler Sonia scored the Redskins’ (4-2-1) lone goal two minutes into the second half, while Mason Brewer turned aside four shots between the posts.
Monmouth 2, Winthrop 1
WINTHROP – Noah Bosworth converted a pass from Alan Thomas with 2:32 remaining in the first half to lift Monmouth to a 2-1 victory over Winthrop in another MVC boys’ soccer tilt.
Bosworth scored both goals for the Mustangs (4-2), the first on a penalty kick. Seth Musich made 17 saves to notch the win.
The Ramblers (0-6) received a lone goal from Reilly Fitzgerald with 4:45 left in the second period. Ryan Michaud turned back 13 shots in net for Winthrop.
Telstar 3, Mountain Valley 1
BETHEL – Casey Thornton, Frankie Delduca and Deagan Conrad each scored goals as Telstar did away with Mountain Valley, 3-1, in a boys’ soccer game Thursday.
The Rebels (4-0-2) and the Falcons (3-4) were locked in a 1-1 tie after the first half before Telstar opened a two-goal lead in the second half. Delduca and West Doyon each earned assists on two of the goals.
For the Falcons, Rafael Andonini scored unassisted in the first half.

EL 1, Mt. Blue 0
AUBURN – Katie Williamson tipped the ball into an open net on the right wing with 2:54 left in the first overtime to lift Edward Little to a 1-0 field hockey victory over Mt. Blue.
Emily Ranucci set up the winning goal when her crossing pass from the left side slipped through the goalie’s legs, allowing Williamson to redirect it into the goal.
Kayla Cummings stopped eight shots for the Red Eddies (3-4-2), while Amanda Hall was credited with 18 saves for Mt. Blue (5-3).
Cony 2, Oxford Hills 0
PARIS – Felicia Taylor backstopped the defense by stopping all nine shots on goal to lead Cony to a 2-0 victory over Oxford Hills.
Kayla Belanger and Alissa Brochu scored for the Rams (6-1).
Moriah Kimball had nine saves for Oxford Hills (0-5-2).
Leavitt 3, Camden Hills 1
CAMDEN – Courtney Erskine recorded a hat trick as the Hornets notched a 3-1 victory over Camden Hills in field hockey action Thursday.
Erskine put the Hornets (6-1-1) up 1-0 at the half with a loose ball goal from inside the circle. She picked up a pair of second-half goals on excellent stick handling.
The Windjammers staved off the shutout when Maci Heah took a shot that deflected of a defenseman and past goalkeeper Kristen Capen with 4:33 remaining in the contest.
Girls’ soccer
Brunswick 3, Leavitt 0
TURNER – Leavitt frustrated unbeaten Brunswick’s potent attack before dropping a 3-0 decision to the Dragons.
Brunswick outshot Leavitt 18-5 and enjoyed a 6-0 advantage in corner kicks, but the defense, led by goalie Danielle Dubois, prevented Brunswick (7-0) from breaking the game open.
Cassandra Murano, Becky Champagne and Hillary Champagne scored for Brunswick. Dubois stopped nine shots for the Hornets (1-6).
Mt. Blue 4, Bangor 1
BANGOR – Hannah Allen led a group of four players to register goals as Mt. Blue pulled out a 4-1 victory over Bangor Thursday.
Nara Montenegro, Chelsea Thompson and Marlie Mochamer also tallied for the Cougars (5-2) to complete the scoring.
Em Deane turned back nine shots in net to notch the win.
Eliza Esterbrook tallied the Rams’ (5-2) lone goal in the second half, while keeper Katie Hudgens made three saves in the game.
