PHILLIPS – A Phillips man was released from jail on $1,000 cash bail Wednesday after police say they discovered drying marijuana, drug paraphernalia and $1,000 in believed drug proceeds at his home on Route 142, Franklin County sheriff’s Lt. Niles Yeaton said Thursday.

Ronald L. Searles, 37, of Route 142, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of furnishing a scheduled drug and issued a summons on a misdemeanor charge of cultivating marijuana, Yeaton said.

He is scheduled to appear Dec. 18 at 12th District Court in Farmington.

Deputies conducted an investigation before seeking a search warrant of the property, Yeaton said.
