BOSTON (AP) – A man accused of throwing foot powder around an airplane because he was angry his flight from Las Vegas to Boston was delayed has pleaded not guilty.

Arthur Nicolson of Framingham was released on personal recognizance Tuesday after his arraignment on charges including disorderly conduct and interfering with the operation of an aircraft.

The 42-year-old was arrested Monday after the U.S. Airways flight he was on landed at Logan International Airport.

Fire destroys Canaan sawmill

CANAAN (AP) – Officials are investigating the cause of a fire in Canaan that destroyed a sawmill.

Fire crews were called to the Johnson Sawmill on Whitten Road just after 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, but were unable to save it. Owner Bob Johnson estimated the loss at $300,000.

Boy found safe after police alert

JERICHO, Vt. (AP) – A 13-year-old boy whose disappearance triggered a full-scale search was found safe and unharmed Tuesday, turning up in front of a Mexican restaurant while dozens of police, volunteers and a Vermont National Guard helicopter searched for him.

Tyler Pillsbury, of Jericho, was spotted in front of the Williston restaurant about 9:40 a.m., 12 hours after the search began.

The boy, who had been last seen Monday afternoon, riding his mountain bike, was reported missing by Vermont State Police early Tuesday.

Acting on a tip, Detective Sgt. Don Coffey spotted Tyler outside the restaurant.

and took him to the State Police barracks in Williston, where he was reunited with his parents.
