On Thursday the vice-presidential debate took place, between Sarah Palin (GOP) and Joe Biden (DEM). Both individuals are somewhat controversial figures even in their own parties; Sarah Palin because of her inexperience and highly controversial stands, Biden because he is part of the inner Washington crowd that Obama has promised to eradicate. The debate was a success for both of them. Both individuals managed to connect to the people and promised to do their best for the country both as vice-president and as individuals. The overall sentiment of the evening was that neither candidate made a major gaffe.
