WISCASSET – Ashley Beaulieu converted a pass from Megan Latour with 28:50 left in the first half to send Lisbon to a 1-0 victory over Wiscasset in a MVC girls’ soccer tilt Wednesday.
Sam Purcell needed only one save for the Greyhounds (11-1-2) to record the shutout. Abby Austin turned aside eight shots in net for the Redskins (3-10-1).
Boothbay 1, Monmouth 1
MONMOUTH – Morgan Mitchell and Brittany Weymouth scored goals for their respectiev teams Wednesday as Boothbay and Monmouth battled to a 1-1 tie.
Weymouth gave the Mustangs (1-10-2) a 1-0 advantage when she converted a pass from Courtney McFerren seven minnutes into the game. Mitchell tied the contest with 3:29 left in regulation, sending both squads into overtime.
Annie Wilcox made 13 saves in net for the Seahawks (1-10-2), while Kelsey Hilton turned back six shots for Monmouth.
Winthrop 3, Jay/Livermore Falls 0
WINTHROP – Erin Belanger led a trio of players to register goals as Winthrop rolled to a 3-0 victory over Jay/Livermore Falls in MVC girlss’ soccer action.
Mikhaela Helm and Erica Rice also tallied for the Ramblers (8-4-1), while Hannah Smithgall made six saves to preserve the shutout.
Katie Beaulieu turned aside nine shots in net for Jay/Livermore (6-4-4) in a solid effort.
Mt. Abram 1, Dirigo 0
SALEM – Kaitie Buschmann scored off the back of her foot as the ball was being cleared with 14:36 remaining in regulation as Mt. Abram wrapped up a dream season with a 1-0 victory over Dirigo.
Kenni Norton made seven saves in net for the undefeated Roadrunners (14-0) to notch the shutout. Lynette Bryant put in a strong effort between the posts for Dirigo (4-7-3) with 11 saves.
Lincoln 2, Oak Hill 1
NEWCASTLE – Sara Komorowski scored on a free kick with 1:10 left in regulation to lift Lincoln to a 2-1 triumph over Oak Hill in a KVAC girls’ soccer tilt.
Komorowski also scored the first goal for Lincoln (6-6-2) when she knocked Oak Hill’s keeper into the net while holding the ball. Emma Lazzari made four saves in net for Lincoln to record the victory.
The Raiders (6-6-1) received their goal in the first half from Becca Roberts at the 17:02 mark on a direct kick from 20 yards out. Alex Donald turned back eight shots between the posts for Oak Hill.
Field hockey
Freeport 1, Poland 0
POLAND – Hannah Shuchert scored on a rebound off the goalie’s pads with 33:19 left in the game to lift Freeport to a 1-0 victory over Poland in a WMC field hockey season finale Wednesday.
Emily Daniel needed only two saves to notch the shutout. Dezaray DeBurra was busy in net for the Knights (0-14), turning back 32 of 33 shots sent in her direction.
Greely 3, Gray-New Gloucester 2
GRAY – Kirsten Russell converted a pass from Karen Stowell 20 minutes into the second half to lift Greely to a 3-2 victory over Gray-New Gloucester in a regular-season field hockey finale.
Anna Maine and Maggie Sloan also tallied for the Rangers (12-1-1) to complete the scoring.
Kayla Guptill gave the Patriots (1-10-3) a 1-0 advantage just three minutes into the contest, while Laura Hagelin added a goal and an assist.
St. Dom’s 3, OOB 1
OLD ORCHARD BEACH – Mary Lewis netted a pair of goals as St. Dom’s finished off their regular season with a 3-1 victory over Old Orchard Beach.
Eliza Dox also tallied for the powerhouse Saints (13-1), while Hillary Gove, Hannah Wiley and Colleen Rideout all contributed with assists. Kelsey Murphy made three saves to record the win.
Natasha Kirby tallied the lone goal for the Seahgulls (7-5-2), while Arianne Bouchard turned aside 14 shots in net.
Hebron 7, Kents Hill 0
KENTS HILL – Kailey Bubier netted four goals to lead Hebron to a 7-0 romp over Kents Hill in a Pep School field hockey tilt Wednesday.
Brianna Bisesti, Rebekah Jett and Moeko Ogawa also tallied for the Lumberjacks (7-2) to complete the scoring. Meghan Munro worked the net for Hebron but needed no saves to record the shutout.
Boys soccer
Oak Hill 1, Lincoln 0
WALES – Bryan Soucy converted a pass from Danny Tucker with 4:23 left in regulation to give Oak Hill a 1-0 victory over Lincoln in KVAC boys’ soccer action Wednesday.
Glenn Allen made 11 saves in net for the Raiders (7-4-2) to record the shutout. Kyle Scherer turned back 12 shots between the posts for Lincoln.
Hebron 2, Tilton 0
HEBRON – Mike Skelton and Eric Rodriguez each tallied a goal Wednesday as Hebron came away with a 2-0 victory over Tilton.
Corey Lescault made eight saves in net for the Lumberjacks (4-0-2) to record the shutout.
Matt Wrenn handled goalkeeping duties for Tilton, turning back six shots.
