Change seems to be a popular word in today’s political culture.

Although I am going to leave the speculation on the presidential election to the political pundits of the 24-hour news cycle, I would like to weigh-in on local politics using this same catch phrase.

In House District 87, there is a true agent of change running for state representative. Her name is Angela Courchesney, and she would be the first female to represent her district.

She believes in lowering Maine’s tax burden through the elimination of government wasteful spending. With the representation that this state has had in Augusta lately, that would be an incredible change.

I feel that Angela Courchesney will bring enthusiasm, dedication and fiscal responsibility. Those are qualities that are so desperately needed in the elected representatives in Augusta.
