This is in response to Thomas Shields’ letter, Sept. 19.
He said the Sun Journal’s Political Notebook noted the Maine League of Conservation Voters’ ratings of only the Lewiston-Auburn Democrats, but did not mention the good ratings of the Republicans.
Maybe the Republicans didn’t do so good that day.
He goes on to say the networks are a major problem because of the audience they reach. He said the Democrats ought to be able to come up with a better candidate than Obama because he is not qualified for the job.
I don’t think George W. Bush was qualified for the job when he ran, either time, yet I imagine Shields voted for him, both times. People should remember that the Republican party favors the rich, not the poor.
I’ll vote for Obama and see what happens. He can’t do any worse than what Bush did.
