Young People of the Lewiston Auburn Area will honor four outstanding young people Friday.
Sonia Buck, Michelle Gosselin, Nicole Laliberte and Ariel Rosenberg will be recognized as exemplary young professionals for their work in the community and their success in the business world.
Buck, the first college graduate in her family, is a lawyer with Linnell, Choate and Webber in Auburn. Gosselin has been the public face of several organizations, including the Good Shepherd Food-Bank, and now serves as sales manager for Hannaford. Laliberte is an 18-year-old college student who works as a tax accountant and bookkeeper at Austin Associates, an accounting firm in Auburn, as well as a sales supervisor for Spencer’s Gifts in the Auburn Mall. Ariel Rosenberg works with Lots to Gardens and is a member of Lewiston’s Downtown Neighborhood Taskforce and is an outspoken member of the Visible Community.
The four were chosen from eight nominations.
They will receive their awards at YPLAA’s Octoberfest celebration Friday. Marc Paquette will also be honored for his service as chairman.
YPLAA was created two years ago as a community for the area’s young professionals. It has more than 400 members.
