BETHEL – Republican challenger Jarrod Crockett was leading Democratic incumbent Timothy A. Carter in the Maine House District 91 by a slight edge late Tuesday.
With only three towns’ results in the race was far to close to call.
In Bethel, Crockett drew 935 votes to Carter’s 698, Hanover also favored Crockett 91-86, and in the northern Franklin County town of Eustis, Crockett was leading 194-170.
House District 91 consists of Bethel, Eustis, Gilead, Hanover, Kingfield, Newry, Rangeley, Stoneham, Upton, Woodstock, Dallas Plantation, Lincoln Plantation, and Magalloway Plantation, plus the unorganized territories of East Central Franklin (part, including part of Salem Township), North Franklin, North Oxford, South Oxford (including Albany and Mason Townships) and Milton Township.
