MEXICO – The following incidents were handled by the Mexico Police Department.

Arrests

• Timothy Jacques, 23, of Virgin Street, Rumford, operating under the influence, at 11:44 p.m., Oct. 30, on Granite Street. He was released from the Rumford Police Department on $1,200 unsecured bail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Feb. 3, 2009.

• Shawn Quimby, 37, Melbourne Street, Skowhegan, criminal threatening and violation of bail conditions, at 12:47 a.m., Oct. 29, at the Big Apple on River Road. He was released from the Mexico Police Department on $2,000 unsecured bail, and was later transported to a hospital for evaluation. He is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Dec. 2.

• Timothy Jennings, 43, of Oquossoc, aggravated criminal mischief and theft by causing $5,000 damage and stealing a washer and dryer at an apartment on Burton Street on Oct. 15. The Mexico Police Department issued the warrant and the Rangeley Police Department made the arrest.

Vandalism

An Angie Lane resident reported at 6:15 p.m., Oct. 25, that someone had thrown an unknown heavy object at her Pontiac sedan, causing $500 damage to the windshield. The person has not been located.

Accidents

Vehicles driven by Jennifer Foster, 45, Damariscotta, and Ashley D. Monaghan, 26, Rumford, collided at 5:46 p.m., Oct. 21, on Main Street. Foster’s 2003 Subaru station wagon sustained $1,500 damage. Monaghan’s 2000 Ford van sustained $1,000 damage.

Heidi Waterhouse, 21, of Rumford, parked her 2003 Ford sedan in the Wal-Mart parking lot on Oct. 15. Someone hit the front bumper, with damage estimated at $2,500, and left the scene.

Eileen Adams, 60, of Wilton, hit a deer at 9 p.m., Oct. 24 as she was driving east along Route 2. The deer left the road and could not be located. Adams’ 2001 Subaru Legacy sedan sustained $1,200 damage.

Vehicles driven by Roger J. Leblanc, 73, Mexico, and Melanie L. Prescott, 35, Dixfield, collided at 1:12 p.m, Oct. 9, in the parking lot of Theresa’s Church off the Roxbury Road. Leblanc’s 1992 Chevrolet sedan sustained $1,000 damage. Prescott’s 1995 Chevrolet pickup truck sustained $1,500 damage.

Vehicles driven by Clayton E. Miller, 43, of Mexico, and Lawrence T. Winson, 29, of Dixfield, collided at 1:55 p.m., Oct. 11, on Main Street. Miller’s 2001 Saab sedan sustained $1,000 damage. Winson’s 2005 Mercury sedan sustained $2,000 damage.
