I read a letter to the editor in another newspaper on Oct. 23, pertaining to the residency of Oxford County Probate Judge Dana Hanley. A version of the same letter went to the Sun Journal and its subsidiaries in Oxford County. I am curious why those papers refused to print the letter.
The Sun Journal editorial of Nov. 1 supports the people’s “inherent right to know and be fully informed about their government so they can efficiently and intelligently exercise their political power.” But when the press itself chooses to suppress information, or allows only one point of view, how is the public to be fully informed?
