Wow! A whole month has flown by! Can you believe it? The leaves are gone, it’s getting colder and we’ve already seen some snow. I hope you all have had a chance to bundle up your homes and stock pile a few good books and movies for those snowy winter days.

I have been very busy at the Chamber this last month and want to tell you that I am on the search for new members daily. I plan to visit area towns and businesses in the weeks to come, so you will see me out and about.

I do want to ask for a favor. I am one person and we have a lot of current members and potential members, so please forgive me if I don’t get to see you for a bit. That’s not the favor – the favor is, if you haven’t seen me yet and you’re waiting … wait no longer! Call me, e-mail me, stop by my office in the Information Center and tell me you want to be a Chamber Member. If you don’t know what the Chamber offers, ask around town, ask a board member. I am here daily from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. while the office is open and have been out visiting businesses before and after hours.

I know we can do this, but the only way we are going to be successful is if we’re a strong team! So, what do you say? Come on, show me the hands! Who wants to be a part of the River Valley Chamber Team?

Oh, I almost forgot! Did you know that I can offer you membership at a discounted price? I will pro-rate your membership for November and December and allow you to reap the benefits of the Chamber for these two months at the monthly rate. In January, I will send you a renewal for the full year. This gives you a chance to see what The Chamber can do for you. It’s not a hard hit on your budget and gives you two months to save for membership in 2009.
