Planning fair
FARMINGTON – Franklin County Arts and Crafts Association members will meet Wednesday, Nov. 19, to make final plans for their annual Christmas fair.
The session will be held in Room C of the Olsen Student Center North Dining Hall at the University of Maine at Farmington.
It will begin at 6:30 p.m. with an opportunity to register for the fair, followed by a business meeting.
The fair will be held Saturday, Dec. 6, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free. Crafters interested in participating or needing more information should call 778-6967.
Thanksgiving
FARMINGTON – The seventh annual Scottish Rite Thanksgiving Day dinner will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 27. The meal is free.
All donations and volunteers are welcome. Contact persons are Rufus and Charlene Cox at 779-0641.
Christmas fair
PHILLIPS – There will be a Christmas fair and holiday food sale at the Phillips Community House from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22.
Included will be new crafts and gifts, “gently used” articles suitable for Christmas giving and an array of treats, including pies, candy and baked goods.
Those wishing to donate to the fair may bring gift items from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, Nov. 21 and food between 8:30 and 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22.

Church bazaar
INDUSTRY – There will be a Christmas bazaar from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, at the Industry Town Hall. Proceeds will benefit the United in Christ Presbyterian Church of Starks and West Mills.
It will include raffles, crafts, a cookie walk, baked goods and lunch. For more details or to rent one of the two tables left, call Ann Marie at 696-1064.
Tables for rent
FARMINGTON – Farmington Emblem Club 460 will hold a holiday craft fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Elks Lodge in West Farmington.

Chowder lunch
FARMINGTON – A fish chowder lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, at Fairbanks Union Church. Cost is $7, eat in or take out. Call 778-4705 for delivery.
