JAY – Jay Middle School’s alternative education class will host a Scholastic Book Fair Nov. 17 to Dec. 5 during school hours and during parent/teacher conferences on Nov. 25 and 26. There will be books geared to the middle school reader, as well as gift items, reference materials and school items.

The class has been busy preparing by making candles, jewelry and bead bookmarks. They have also been baking and cooking. Homemade applesauce, granola, oat bars and fruit smoothies will be for sale, as well as hot cider and hot chocolate.

The book fair always has a guessing jar and a raffle. The theme will be “The 60s,” and a “hippie book bus” will be free to “riders” who wish to cozy up inside with a book.

All proceeds will benefit Jay Middle School, especially the spring trip to Boston.
