HARTLAND (AP) – A Hartland firefighter who suffered a heart attack while battling a blaze will be laid to rest this weekend.

Michael Snowman’s funeral is scheduled for Saturday afternoon at First Baptist Church in Hartland.

Afterward, firefighters will march to the Hartland Fire Station for a Last Call Ceremony. Burial will follow at the Detroit Village Cemetery.

Snowman was working the controls on a pumper truck when he collapsed. He was taken to Sebasticook Valley Hospital and then airlifted to Eastern Maine Medical Center, where he died.

He leaves behind a wife, Laureen, and three grown children.
