HEBRON – The Oxford County 4-H Leaders’ Association held its annual meeting on Nov. 12 at the Hebron Fire Station. A potluck supper was held for the 17 leaders and Extension Educator Susan Jennings who were present.
Certificates of appreciation were awarded to the following leaders for their outstanding work during the 2008 4-H year: Bonnie Hall, Janette Packard, Lois Pike, Susan Martin Harvey, Leslie Bonney, Ann Allen, Cindy Ouellette, Kate Slattery, Miranda Derenburger, Barbara Strout, Diane Gushee, Jake Cash, Suzanne Billings and Lloyd Billings.
Jennings gave a presentation on the new Bryant Pond 4-H Camp and Learning Center, outlining some of the plans for 2009. The 4-H Leaders’ Association supports Oxford County 4-H programs countywide.
The meeting included planning for the 4-H auction on Friday, Dec. 5, at Oxford Hills Middle School. Doors will open at 5 p.m. and the auction will begin at 6:30. The 4-H Leaders’ Association also made final plans for the 4-H Achievement Night, held on Nov. 13.
The next leaders’ meeting, to include a holiday party, will be held Tuesday, Dec. 9, at the Extension Office in South Paris.
