HYANNIS, Mass. (AP) – Being vice president-elect isn’t keeping Joseph Biden from keeping a family Thanksgiving tradition.

Biden, his wife Jill, their daughter Ashley – and two discreet Secret Service agents – arrived on Cape Cod on Wednesday morning and then boarded a ferry to Nantucket.

Biden told a Cape Cod Times reporter at the Hy-Line Cruises dock that his family has spent Thanksgiving on the island for 33 years.

The Democratic senator from Delaware will be sworn in with President-elect Barack Obama in January.
