DURHAM – A Casco woman who, police say, was driving with a suspended license was injured in a two-vehicle rear-end crash on Route 125 at 9:57 p.m. Tuesday.

Twanna Rampino, 38, of Casco, complained of chest and stomach pain and was taken to Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick by Durham Fire and Rescue, said Androscoggin County Deputy Sheriff Randy Williams.

The other driver, Alan Broomhall, 41, of Lisbon Falls, escaped apparent injury.

Williams said both vehicles were traveling north toward Lisbon Falls when Rampino slowed down. Broomhall, who was driving closely behind her, attempted to go around her car to avoid a collision, but hit the left side of the bumper. Rampino lost control of the car, which went off the right shoulder, struck a fence post and slammed head-on into a tree.

Damage to Rampino’s 2004 Ford Focus was estimated at $5,000; there was no damage to Broomhall’s 2008 Toyota Tacoma.
