AUGUSTA – The Maine Beef Producers Association will sponsor “Beef Basics 101” at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, as part of the Agricultural Trade Show at the Augusta Civic Center. UMaine Extension beef specialist Dee Potter will review beef feed, shelter and health care needs.
At 1 p.m., Potter will present information on software programs available for beef producers. The programs have been designed to assist in management decisions, but some are easier to use or offer information in different formats. The workshop will assist those who own a software program or are thinking of purchasing one.
The association will hold its annual meeting at 3 p.m. Several awards will be made at that time. All are welcome. Visit the booth at the trade show or contact executive director Pam Harnden at 645-2568 or [email protected].
